Astigmatism
Rather than just being blurred, an image appears distorted, causing imprecise vision at any distance.
Astigmatism is a common refractive error that may cause blurring of both distance and near vision. It is often combined with either myopia or hyperopia. People with astigmatism typically notice more blurring along a specific axis (vertical lines, horizontal lines or diagonals), they also often report eye fatigue symptoms.
Astigmatism is the result of the irregular curvature of the cornea or of a more oval shaped eyeball.
